Fox's Lethal Weapon reboot has found his Mel Gibson. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Klein Crawford ("Mistakes of the Past", "24 Hours") will play one of the main characters in the pilot of the upcoming series. His project partner will be previously approved Damon Wayans (My Wife and Children). In a pilot based on the acclaimed movie of the same name starring Mel Gibson and Danny Glover, a former Navy SEAL and Texas cop Martin Riggs (Crawford, played by Gibson in the movie), experiencing the loss of his wife and child, moves to Los Angeles to start life anew. There he becomes the partner of police detective Roger Murdoch (Wayans, in the movie, played by Glover), with whom "frivolous" recently happened heart attack and must now avoid stressful situations. The upcoming reboot is being executive produced by Matthew Miller, Dan Lin and Jennifer Gwartz. All three worked on Eternity, which was canceled by ABC after its first season, much to the dismay of most viewers. The pilot is directed by McG, who has already worked with Miller on Chuck.
