Joshua Trunk refused to convert Fantastic Four to 3D

Fantastic Four moviemaker Joshua Trunk has refused to convert it to 3D. The British edition of FinalReel reports this with reference to its sources.

"I would like the audience to see" Fantastic Four "at its best, that is, in 2D, in which, in fact, the shooting was carried out," the director said in a statement. It is noteworthy that early posters and other promo materials for the movie guaranteed the viewers viewing in "Real D 3D", and therefore the decision to abandon the conversion was made already at the later stages of editing. Most likely, the studio simply did not have enough time for a high-quality conversion.

This is probably due to conflicts between the director and the producers of the picture, which were repeatedly reported earlier. It was alleged that at a certain stage of production, the studio representatives were forced to take full control of the shooting and even change some scenes. It was this conflict that is believed to have led to Trunk's firing as director of the Star Wars spin-off. Official comments on this subject are expected to follow during Comic-con 2015.

Fantastic Four stars Miles Teller, Keith Mara, Michael B. Jordan, Toby Kebbell, Jamie Bell, Jodi Lyn Brockton, Reg E. Cathy, Tim Blake Nelson, Christopher Heskey, Jerrad Wunovich and others.
