The famous circus troupe Cirque du Soleil has announced a new show called "Turuk - First Flight" based on the fantastic movie "Avatar".

The description of the performance indicates that its action takes place thousands of years before the events of the famous painting by James Cameron, and the plot is built around the first flight of a representative of the Na`vi people on the leonopteryx, which served as the basis for the legend known to all aborigines.

It is alleged that the show was created under the creative control of the director himself, as well as the producer of "Avatar" John Landau. The premiere of "Turuk - First Flight" performance will take place in November 2015.

Note that this is not the first collaboration between the creators of Avatar and Cirque du Soleil. In 2012, they jointly released the stereoscopic movie "Cirque du Soleil: A Fairy World in 3D", which was created using the technologies used during the work on "Avatar".

The forthcoming Avatar-based show was announced in May 2014. "We are brought together by the desire to bring our viewers to a new, previously unattainable, level of entertainment. This is exactly what we will do in the new project," James Cameron commented then.

Recall that at the time of this writing, the director is preparing to shoot three sequels of Avatar at once.
