In the United States, at the age of 90, the legendary Marvel artist Steve Ditko, who, together with Stan Lee, created such famous superheroes as Spider-Man, Doctor Strange and other characters, has passed away. This is reported by The Hollywood Reporter. The exact cause of death has not yet been indicated, it is only known that Ditko was found dead in his home.

Recall that in 1961 it was Ditko who embodied Stan Lee's ideas on Spider-Man on paper. Initially, Lee, who was the editor-in-chief of Marvel Comics at the time, approached Jack Kirby with a proposal to draw a hero, but the artist's interpretation did not suit him. As a result, Ditko's version was approved - the blue and red suit and devices for creating a web, familiar all over the world.

In the late 1960s, Steve Ditko left Marvel and began collaborating with other comic book producers, but he was no longer successful. In 1979, he returned to Marvel, continuing to work on various series, such as "Micronauts".

Unlike Stan Lee, who has always been a public person, Ditko rarely spoke to journalists, preferring privacy.
