Stan Lee passed away
It's hard to believe, because the father of the most famous modern superheroes seemed eternal, but today Stan Lee has passed away at the 96th year of his life. According to TMZ, citing the daughter of the comic book writer, Lee was taken to the hospital with complications from pneumonia. There he died. In the past year, the writer often experienced health problems, and his eyesight also deteriorated.Stan Lee was born in Manhattan in 1922. As a child, he was an avid book reader, and this largely determined his fate. However, Lee's path to world fame was long and full of trials. So, in his youth, Stan was engaged in writing obituaries for the news service and press releases for the National Tuberculosis Center Program, and in 1942 he was even drafted into the army. Lee was lucky - he was able to survive the Second World War and gain valuable experience there, which later helped him in creating many superheroes.  After returning to a peaceful life, Stan Lee began collaborating with the artists of Timely Comics, which was later renamed Marvel Comics. Having started as a humble assistant, he soon showed incredible imagination and resourcefulness. Together with artists Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko, he created the most popular comic book characters - Iron Man, Hulk, Spider-Man, Daredevil and Doctor Strange, as well as star teams of heroes with super powers - Fantastic Four, X-Men, Avengers. Needless to say, how loved these children of the great author are still? In recognition of Stan Lee's merits, the directors of every new Marvel blockbuster invited the writer to perform cameos in their films. Over time, it became the hallmark of the studio's superhero action movies along with the post-credits scenes. It was always nice to see Lee's new unexpected and very original appearance and to laugh at his caustic jokes about the hapless heroes. Stan also consulted extensively for the company's television department, producing such successful series as Agents of SHIELD, Daredevil, Agent Carter, Jessica Jones and Legion.
