The director of the Marvel movie Doctor Strange, Scott Derrickson, got involved in a controversy with the famous Hollywood director Martin Scorsese, who had previously stated that comic book adaptations cannot be considered cinematography, but only amusement parks.

Derrickson chose not to join into long discussions, publishing instead on his official page on the social network Instagram, a modified logo of the Marvel studio, in which instead of a name, the name of Scorsese himself appeared. The illustration was accompanied by the caption "I love ...", probably addressed to the Hollywood master.

Recall that Scorsese's statements provoked a heated discussion, both in the media and social networks, and among the moviemakers themselves. The director later explained, who first noticed the desire of major Hollywood studios to "turn moviemaking into Disneyland" back in the early 70s of the last century. And he called Universal Studios a pioneer in this process.

Scorsese admitted that comic-book movies "are made by very talented people," but "this is not his movie," and urged movie theaters to pay attention to classic dramatic cinematography.
