Warner Bros. Film Studio complained about the use of the soundtrack from The Dark Knight 2: The Legend Rises to design a political advertisement for incumbent US President Donald Trump. Videos focused on the 2020 election campaign were posted on Twitter.

The video, in particular, showed footage of Democrats and other public figures that Trump himself mocked or who mocked him, including former President Barack Obama, former Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and comedians Rosie O` Donnell and Amy Schumer. The video also includes photographs covering Trump's meetings with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and the President of Brazil. In a short time, the video was viewed by almost two million Twitter users.

"The use of music from The Dark Knight 2: The Legend Rises was not authorized to create these videos. We are using appropriate legal channels to ensure that they are removed." , the studio said in a statement on this matter.

Recall, that the tape was presented to viewers in 2012. Its release was accompanied by a tragedy in the American city of Aurora, where dozens of spectators were killed and wounded in one of the cinemas during the show.
