The "haze" has dissipated. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Spike TV closed the series based on Stephen King's novel of the same name after the first season.

Morgan Spector and Francis Conroy starred in the drama ordered for production in April 2016. Launched at the end of June this year, the series attracted 1.2 million viewers on the day of the premiere and the next three days. However, the subsequent episodes of "Mgla" were able to hold the attention of 800 thousand viewers with great difficulty – even taking into account the recordings on the DVR. The drama failed to make it into the top thirty most watched script shows on the cable channel with a key audience of 18 to 49 years old.

With the help of Mgla, which was co-produced by The Weinstein Co./Dimension TV, Spike TV has struggled to reclaim its slice of screenplay territory after attempts to movie the sci-fi drama Red Mars and Jerry Bruckheimer's production project Harvest failed.

Given the high ratings of the first season of Mist ", the second season of the show was due to air on Paramount Network (new name Spike TV from January 2018). Now Paramount Network will launch new projects "Yellowstone", "Waco", "American Woman" and "Heathers".
