Convicted Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein, who is serving a sentence in a federal prison in New York State, has been diagnosed with coronavirus. According to Deadline, citing its sources, he is isolated in a medical box.

Representatives of the Department of Corrections declined to comment on this, since, according to the law, they have no right to disclose information about the health of prisoners. The producer's lawyers do not yet have accurate data on his condition.

Weinstein was transferred to a prison near the city of Buffalo on March 18, 2020 and became its second inmate with such a diagnosis. Earlier in Rikers prison, where the producer was held, the coronavirus was detected in 40 criminals. Probably, it was in this correctional institution that Weinstein became infected.

Recall that on February 24, 2020, Harvey Weinstein was found guilty by a jury on two counts out of six. On March 11, a court sentenced him to 23 years in prison.
