Premiere of the first video of the movie adaptation of The Witcher
The Cinema News portal invites its readers to get acquainted with the first video for the adaptation of the cult series of works and video games "The Witcher". The video captured the leading actor, British actor Henry Cavill, as Geralt. The project develops the streaming service Netflix.
At the time of this writing, the cast of the series, based on the novels of the Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski, also includes Jodie Mae as Queen Kalante and grandmother Ciri; Bjorn Hlinur Haraldsson as the consort of Kalante, the knight of Eist Tursiah; Adam Levy as Druid Mousehover; MayAnna Bering as Tissay de Vrieux, Rector of the School of Witchcraft in Aretuza; Mimi Diveni and Terika Wilson-Reed as budding sorceresses; and Millie Brady as Princess Craden, Renfrey. Lauren Schmidt, formerly the producer of the Netflix series Daredevil and The Defenders, is the Witcher showrunner and executive producer. The series is expected to be presented to viewers in 2019.
