Cable channel SYFY has ordered the production of the second season of the fantastic TV series "Krypton", which takes place in Superman's homeland several generations before the death of the planet. According to ComicBook, the sequel is slated for release in 2019. The exact date has not yet been announced.

Recall that the plot of the first season, which started in March 2018, was Kal-El's grandfather Seg-El, trying with all his might to save the honor of the family and save his home planet from chaos and destruction. The project involved Cameron Kaffe, Georgina Campbell, Ian McElhinney, Elliot Cowen, Anne Ogbomo, Rasmus Hardiker, Wallis Day, Aaron Pierre, Gordon Alexander, Sarah Armstrong and other actors. The content of the sequel at the time of this writing has not been specified.

Recall that SyFy originally planned to release the first season of the series in 2017, but then the release was postponed to 2018. The showrunner was David S. Goyer, who also contributed to the script for the show. The storyline of "Krypton" does not intersect with the plot of the full-length cinematic universe, based on the DC comics.
