Game of Thrones Star Gets Role in Pilot Krypton
Channel Syfy has announced the names of the cast who have received regular roles in the pilot of the series "Krypton". So, Ian McElhinney (Game of Thrones), Elliot Cowen (Da Vinci Demons), Anne Ogbomo (World War Z), Rasmus Hardyker (The Pepper Brave), Wallis Day (The Royals) and Aaron Pierre ("Tennyson") has joined the leading roles - Cameron Kaffe and Georgina Campbell. This is reported by the Deadline edition. The series, based on characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, describes the events taking place on the planet Krypton two generations before Superman was born. In the center of events – the grandfather of the Man of Steel Seg-El (Kaffe), who is trying to restore honor to his once prosperous family and save the planet from chaos. McElhinney, familiar to Game of Thrones fans as Barristan Selmy, will play Val-El, Seg-El's grandfather. He is a rogue genius who believes that space exploration is the primary form of self-defense. He tried, albeit unsuccessfully, to warn the elite of Krypton of the impending ancient threat. Cowen was given the role of Daron Wax, Chief Justice of Kandor. In reality, he is concerned about defending the existing oligarchy of Krypton from heretics and dissidents. Lita's mother Zod (Campbell) and the leader of the Krypton military guild, Aluru Zod, will be played by Ogbomo. She is an incredibly tough and demanding officer. Hardyker will portray Kem, stripped of the title of brilliant engineer and best friend of Seg-El, as well as his partner in the "underground business".
