USA Network has officially confirmed that the pilot of a potential spin-off of the series starring Gina Torres will be presented as the final episode of the final seventh season of the hit drama "Force Majeure". The episode will air in the first quarter of 2018. The Hollywood Reporter reports this with reference to the USA Network.

The episode will unite Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht), Mike Ross (Patrick Adams), Louis Litt (Rick Hoffman), Rachel Zane (Megan Markle) and Donna Paulsen (Sarah Rafferty) with their old friend Jesskaya Pearson (Gina Torres), who is trying to make her life better. As Jessica plunges into the filthy world of Chicago politics, she is forced to apply her legal knowledge and connections with Pearson Specter Litt to navigate unfamiliar territory.

Force Majeure creator Aaron Korsch will write the script with the show's executive producer Daniel Arkin. The director of the pilot is Anton Cropper, who was already on the team for the original show. The production will be handled by Universal Cable Productions.

"Torres had an idea and suggested it to the studio ... The idea was fuzzy, but creative. The studio bosses asked for my opinion. In fact, I love Jessica and me I wonder what could happen to her in the future. We decided to give it a try, "Korsch said in a statement in March this year after the end of the sixth season of Force Majeure.
