Morgan Spector ("Boardwalk Empire") has been confirmed for the lead role in the USA Network's historical drama pilot. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the potential series "Paradise Pictures" is being developed by the creators of "Force Majeure" Aaron Korsh and Rick Muraki.

The series, the pilot for which USA Network ordered at the end of April this year, will tell about ambitious people striving to get into the high society of Hollywood in the forties, when the dream factory was at its peak. They do not yet know what lies ahead of them - and ndash; the end of studio monopolies, blackmail and revolutionary new television technologies.

Spector will play Tom Kirby, head of production at Paradise Pictures, a movie studio that rose to prominence in Hollywood in 1946. Despite, that Kirby is not the owner of the enterprise, everyone in the city understands that he is in charge there and will not be afraid to get his hands dirty in order for the studio to become famous.

Universal Cable Productions will be producing "Paradise Pictures". The script will be written by Muraki. He will also share the functions of executive producer with Korsh, the showrunner of Force Majeure.
