American version of Raid will not be a Raid
Director Joe Carnahan has clarified the fate of the long-suffering American version of the Asian action movie The Raid. In an interview with Collider, he made a paradoxical statement: the project is alive and well, but it is no longer considered a remake of "Raid". According to the director, he and his colleagues could not agree with the studios of XYZ Films , which owns the rights to this episode, so another movie called "Zeno" will be shot based on the already prepared script. He also noted that negotiations are underway with a famous actor regarding the movieing of this movie, while another popular artist has already agreed to play the villain. Carnahan also clarified the difference between his new project and the 2011 Raid. "In my version, they initially do not intend to enter any building at all, their task is to intercept him when he comes out. But then they find out that the enemy has taken up defensive positions, so now they must go to the assault. This is a completely different scenario. It is more focused on brothers, "he said. Raid was movieed in Indonesia. It is widely known for its excellent choreography of hand-to-hand combat and the extreme frankness of some of the scenes in movies of this genre.
