Samsung has introduced the Galaxy Xcover Pro, a new addition to its eponymous line of enhanced security gadgets. Unlike most existing mobile devices, this Samsung smartphone has a removable battery. The Xcover Pro case is IP68 and MIL STD 810G protected from external factors. IP68 protection assumes complete dustproofness of the gadget, as well as the ability to stay in water for up to 30 minutes without losing its characteristics.

In terms of its parameters, a typical Samsung Xcover smartphone usually lags slightly behind the technical capabilities of its counterparts, for example, from the Galaxy S or Note series. The new member of the Xcover family received a 6.3-inch screen based on a Super AMOLED matrix with a small hole for the front photo module. The display supports Full HD resolution and responds to touch with gloves. The thickness of the frames of the new Galaxy Xcover Pro, unlike most modern smartphones, is slightly larger due to its enhanced protective characteristics.

The Xcover Pro uses a proprietary Exynos 9611 eight-core processor, created using a 10nm process technology. The processor cores are equally divided into high-performance (up to 2.3 GHz) and energy-efficient (1.7 GHz) clusters. The chipset is complemented by Mali G72 MP3 triple-core graphics. In terms of cameras, the strengthened smartphone is equipped with a dual main photo module with 25 and 8 MP sensors. The selfie camera supports 13MP.

The smartphone is powered by a 4050 mAh battery, the largest in the entire Xcover series. So, the previous smartphone of the Xcover 4s line received a 2800 mAh battery. Galaxy Xcover Pro supports fast charging (15W) via USB-C. The device supports two SIM cards and NFC technology for contactless transactions.

In addition to everything, the new Samsung smartphone is equipped with a fingerprint scanner on the side. Two dedicated housing buttons allow you to send text messages via voice and turn on additional lighting. The pre-installed operating system is Android 10, supplemented with One UI firmware version 2.0.

According to the manufacturer's decision, the Samsung smartphone has the only configuration with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory. At the same time, support for microSD cards up to 512 GB is available. The cost of the gadget is 500 euros.
