Samsung has released a smartphone with a retractable photomodule replacing the selfie camera
The Korean company presented another novelty - a Samsung smartphone with an unusual camera configuration. The Galaxy A80 model looks like an ordinary smartphone in a glass-metal body, but its main difference is the absence of a front camera and a single photo module in a sliding swivel compartment. The absence of a selfie module allowed to save the device's screen from the need for notches, while creating barely noticeable frames. Instead, the Samsung Galaxy smartphone is equipped with a single triple camera that rotates 180 degrees in portrait mode. Thus, the main photo lens of the Galaxy A80 replaces the main and front cameras. It is based on three components. The parameters of a single photomodule, according to the manufacturer, allow you to create not only portraits with a blurred background effect, but also video. Among the announced options of a photo lens, the recognition of various shooting scenes and the identification of possible defects were named - the camera detects inaccuracies in the taken picture: flare, occluded lens, etc. The camera also stabilizes the picture, which allows shooting in motion.  The smartphone received a 6.7-inch display with support for FullHD + resolution based on the Super AMOLED matrix. The device runs on an eight-core processor, two of which operate at 2.2 GHz, six others at 1.7 GHz. The presented Samsung smartphone has 8 and 128 GB of RAM and internal memory. The Galaxy A80 case is quite impressive in dimensions: 16.5x 7.65x 0.93 cm.The device is equipped with a 3700 mAh battery with support for fast charging technology. The screen area has a built-in fingerprint scanner, and the smartphone also supports the proprietary Samsung Pay system. By default, the Samsung smartphone comes preinstalled with Android 9.0 (Pie) OS. Galaxy A80 is equipped with intelligent battery management mechanisms to maximize device performance without additional charging. The Smart Performance Booster tool optimizes battery, RAM and chipset performance and adjusts power consumption based on how the device is used throughout the day.
