USA is among the leaders in viruses on Android devices
Eset, an antivirus company, has carried out research to determine the number of malware that Android devices catch across countries. Analytics showed that USA was in the top three in terms of the number of infections on mobile systems. According to Eset, Iran took the first place in this list, the People's Republic of China became the "leader" for iOS products. The researchers took statistics based on the response of antivirus protection (ESET NOD32) to virus detection. If we take the percentage, then in the first half of this year, 16% of the detected malware was in Iran. It was followed by USA, for her this figure was 14%. Uganda is in third place (8%). The most common viruses were representatives of Satori, appropriating someone else's cryptocurrency, as well as Exobot, a type of banking Trojan.  At the same time, the situation still has a positive trend. In the first months of this year, the number of detected attacks for Androyd was 348, which is less by a quarter (specifically, by 27.48%) when compared with the same period last year. According to Eset experts, the "record" of 2017 (842 threats) will not be repeated. At the same time, only 25% of the identified threats are critical, which is also considered a positive trend. For iOS devices, this year the number of malware has decreased by about a third compared to 2017. A total of 124 types of threats were recorded. At the same time, critical threats are at 12%. The majority of Apple platform vulnerabilities were identified in China - (61%!), Followed by Taiwan and Hong Kong (13% and 3%, respectively). However, Eset experts warn about the monthly appearance of about three hundred new types of virus products for Android devices.
