Huawei has presented a new family of mid-range smartphones Nova 5. Each Huawei smartphone in the announced line is equipped with a modern processor and Android mobile system. Despite all the bans, Huawei has tried to fully equip all three models Nova 5, Nova 5 Pro and Nova 5i with up-to-date hardware and software components. Leader of the Nova 5 Pro familyThe star of the presented new line of gadgets was the Nova 5 Pro model. The heart of the smartphone is the company's proprietary chipset - last year's Kirin 980, which was also equipped with other flagships of the brand - the P30 and P30 Pro devices. The Kirin 980 contains two pairs of ARM Cortex-A76 and Cortex-A55 cores. The graphic addition of the processor is the Mali-G76 system. Among other characteristics that distinguish the flagship smartphone Huawei Nova of the new family, there is an almost borderless 6.4-inch screen with support for Full HD + resolution. It has a built-in fingerprint scanner, and at the top there is a teardrop notch for a 32MP selfie camera. The main camera is distinguished by the presence of four sensors, among which there is a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 and its complementary modules with resolutions of 16, 2 and 2 megapixels. The flagship Nova 5 Pro is powered by a 3,500mAh battery, complemented by 40W Fast Charge Recovery Technology via USB-C. The smartphone is equipped with a 3.5 mm audio port, supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth standards and, despite the current prohibition of the SD Association, the device has a microSD slot for memory cards of this class. Nova 5 with a new processorAnother smartphone Nova of the new line in many respects repeats the characteristics of the advanced 5 Pro model, but also has personal features. First of all, this is the processor with which the Nova 5 model is equipped. It was the latest development of Huawei - an eight-core Kirin 810 chip on ARM architecture, two Cortex-A76 cores of which support operating frequencies up to 2.27 GHz and six more Cortex-A55s operate at a frequency up to 1.88 GHz. The graphics of the new processor are presented by the Mali-G52 MP6 card. Affordable Nova 5iThe youngest representative of the Nova 5 family is a budget Huawei smartphone that looks like its older brothers, although its technical characteristics are a little simpler. The Nova 5i smartphone runs on an eight-core Kirin 710 with an integrated Mali-G51 MP4 - the predecessor of the new 810 chip. Half of the Kirin 710 cores support frequencies up to 2.2 GHz, the other half up to 1.7 GHz. The front camera supports a resolution of 24 MP, and the sensors of the four-module main camera - 24, 16, 2, 2 MP. The device is equipped with a microSD card slot, does not have 40 W fast charging (only 10 W), but its battery capacity has been increased to 4000 mAh. All smartphones of the Nova 5 family run on Android 9 Pie, which is supplemented by the proprietary shell EMUI 9.1. The availability of the current Android operating system is due to a temporary agreement between Huawei and Google, although the license period ends in August 2019.
