Casting: Freeman to the President, Nyei to Italy
According to Variety, Morgan Freeman will play Colin Powell, an American politician, General of the US Army, and the first African Secretary of State George W. Bush. Powell's new biopic will focus on Powell's 2003 report to the UN, when the secretary tried to persuade United Nations members to overthrow Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein, based on intelligence reports of Iraqi nuclear weapons development. This event almost deprived him of his high position.The director's chair for the project went to Reginald Hadlin (Marshall), the script is written by Ed Whitworth, and the film will be produced by Addison Mehr and Priya Amritraj. In 2009, Freeman already starred in the historical biopic "Unconquered" as South African President Nelson Mandela, for which he was nominated for an Oscar.  Meanwhile, Dark Matter star Melanie Lieberd has joined the filming of the biopic The Story of Brian Banks, joining Greg Kinnear and Aldis Hodge. Filming will be directed by Tom Shadyak, and the story will focus on American football star Brian Banks (Aldis Hodge), whose life was turned upside down in 2002 after being accused of rape. Despite the fact that the charges were ultimately dropped against the player, Banks spent several years in prison and even managed to get out on parole before the victim of the incident dropped his charges. Greg Kinnear will play the role of a lawyer, and Melanie Lieberd will play the main character's personal trainer, Karina is one of the few people who believed in the innocence of a football player. Doug Etchison will be responsible for the script. Shivani Rawat and Monica Levinson will be producing the film.<   And Bill Nighy ("Boyfriend from the Future") and Jack Louden ("Dunkirk") will take part in the filming of Made In Italy, the directorial debut of James D'Arcy. The comedy will introduce the viewer to the bohemian London artist Robert played by Bill Nighy, who is forced to return to Italy with his son Jack (Louden) in order to sell the house left after his deceased wife as soon as possible.
