Spielberg and Abrams talk about the misadventures of a Syrian refugee

Image Famous Hollywood filmmakers Steven Spielberg and JJ Abrams will work together on a common project, which, as you know, is not the first time for them. The Wrap reports that Paramount Pictures and Spielberg's Amblin Partners have acquired the rights to the recently published book by Melissa Fleming "Hope Is Stronger than the Sea: An Incredible Refugee Story of Love, Loss and Survival" . The novel that served as the basis for the future film is based on real events. It tells about the difficult life of a Syrian emigrant.

Fleming herself is the representative of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees. In this position, Melissa has the opportunity to learn the stories of people in difficult life circumstances from the first person.

One of them was Doa Al Zamel , a Syrian woman who fled Egypt to start a new life in Sweden. Her ship was shipwrecked, and a small inflatable ring became the last hope for salvation. Next to the frightened woman were only the endless sea, the wreckage of the ship and the bodies of the dead. In addition, she was given two small children. So she was left alone with them, the elements and the only desire - to survive. All she could do was swim, pray and sing to the little ones in her arms. Doa had to endure all the misfortunes for these children.
