Godzilla & Kong Gather Writers
Over the past couple of years, moviegoers have heard more than once about the creation of so-called author groups. The fashion for such a phenomenon was introduced by "Transformers", and after their example other franchises followed. More often than not, writing rooms are engaged in developing ideas for the further development of the cinematic universes, but Legendary Entertainment and Warner Bros. are going to use this approach for one single film.According to The Hollywood Reporter , the Hollywood majors have assembled a team of writers for the upcoming blockbuster " Godzilla vs. King Kong ", which is currently seen as the culmination of a series of films about huge monsters. This company will be headed by Terry Rossio . He is no stranger to working on large-scale franchises - Rossio is listed as the scriptwriter of all five parts of Pirates of the Caribbean. His track record also includes 1998's Godzilla, The Mask of Zorro and Shrek. Rossio will be led by Patrick McKay and John D. Payne (Star Trek: Infinity), Lindsay Beer , Kat Vasco , T.S. Naulin ("The Maze Runner") and J. Michael Straczynski (World War Z). While they will work out ideas for the future blockbuster, and only then they will decide which of them will write the script for the film.  "Kong: Skull Island" is just beginning to conquer the world's cinemas, but critics are already praising the tape by Jordan Vogt-Roberts. At the same time, the sequel to "Godzilla" is only gaining a cast. The audience will have to wait until 2020 for the meeting of the two famous monsters.
