Horror Master Showcases Godzilla vs. Kong Showdown
The heads of the studios Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures have finally decided on the name of the director of the blockbuster " Godzilla v. Kong ". As it became known to the publication The Hollywood Reporter , the 34-year-old American director Adam Wingard will arrange the on-screen meeting of the two famous movie monsters.The idea of creating a crossover of two popular franchises came to the bosses of Hollywood companies back in 2014, when the reboot of "Godzilla" was successfully performed at the box office. The official announcement of the film " Godzilla vs. Kong " took place in October 2015, and a year and a half later, the studio bosses decided to assemble a talented group of scriptwriters led by Terry Rossio ("Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl"), which was tasked with sketching ideas for a future film. The news of the appointment of Adam Wingard as director of Godzilla vs. Kong indicates that the monster universe team has already decided on the main concept of the film. At the same time, foreign sources have not yet reported the name of the screenwriter, who will further develop the text. It is possible that the studios are planning to use Wingard himself in creating the script.  The director became famous for his work on horror films: in his filmography you can find such famous films as "You are finished!", "The ABC of Death", "Z / L / O" and "The Blair Witch: A New Chapter". Over the past couple of years, Wingard has also directed the critically acclaimed thriller The Guest and the pilot of The Outcast. Adam is currently working on the highly anticipated adaptation of the cult manga Death Note, which will premiere on Netflix in late summer. Godzilla vs. Kong will be the fourth movie in the new MCU WB and Legendary . In 2014, Hollywood studios took the famous Japanese monster on a journey across the big screens, and this spring presented his future rival to the public in the film Kong: Skull Island. In two years time the sequel " Godzilla " will be released, which promises to give viewers a meeting with such popular kaiju as Motra , Rodan and King Gidora . The director's chair for the third film of the monster universe went to Michael Doherty, and his cast has already been joined by Kyle Chandler, Vera Farmiga, Millie Bobby Brown and many other film and television stars.
