James Franco to star in Marvel Comics again (Topic)

James Franco, who once achieved international recognition after playing Harry Osborn in the Spider-Man trilogy, will star in yet another Marvel comic book adaptation. According to Deadline, this is a movie dedicated to a character from the X-Men universe, nicknamed The Multiplier.

The real name of the hero is James Arthur Madrox. His parents were exposed to radiation in one of the scientific laboratories, and he was born a mutant with the ability to create exact copies of himself. According to Marvel mythology, once he became infected with a deadly virus Madrox and his, so to speak, "original version" died, and only a clone survived, having lost its memory. For some time he worked for the organization "SHIELD." and the Brotherhood of Mutants, then became an active member of the X Factor team.

The multiplier is able not only to control all the clones he creates, but also to re-unite them into one body. Each of the clones, in turn, is capable of producing new ones. The multiplier has already appeared in full-length movies about the X-Men, in particular, in the movie "X-Men: The Last Stand," in which he was one of Magneto's most loyal supporters.

Project timeline and possible rental schedule are not specified yet. The movie adaptation is funded by FOX.
