Evans and Bruhl find TNT serial killer

Image The TNT channel gave the go-ahead for the shooting of the series “ The Alienist ” back in 2015, but only now the creators of the project began to select an actor's composition. According to the portal The Hollywood Reporter , Luke Evans ("Dracula") and Daniel Bruhl (" Race ").

Initially, the project was developed by Carey Fukunaga ("Rootless Beasts"), he was also supposed to lead the filming of all episodes of the series. However, in the end, Jacob Verbruggen ("The Fall" / The Fall ) came to his place, and Fukunaga remained the executive producer of the drama along with the same Verbruggen , Eric Roth (Forrest Gump) and Hussein Amini (Dove Wings).

The psychological thriller is set at the end of the 19th century in New York, where wealth, poverty and technological innovation coexisted. After the city is rocked by a wave of brutal murders of prostitutes, Police Commissioner Theodore Roosevelt invites crime psychologist Dr. Laszlo Kreizler and reporter John Moore to conduct a secret investigation. Using the latest knowledge in psychology and forensic science, they will have to find one of the first serial killers in New York.

Kreizler is passionate about his own work and does not give up trying to find the killer whose crimes have plunged the poor into panic. Evans will play John Moore , a reporter for The New York Times and longtime friend of Kreizler . He goes headlong into a new investigation and ends up confronted with the cruel truth about himself.
