Dasha the Pathfinder fell into the hands of Michael Bay
Michael Bay has already undertaken the successful transformation of the line of transforming toys into the central characters of the explosive action. Now the famous filmmaker is ready to take on another heroine, familiar to children. Together with the Paramount studio, Bay begins work on a full-length version of the animated series "Dasha the Traveler" ("Dasha the Explorer" in another version), reports the portal The Hollywood Reporter.The idea of the project was first announced two years ago. Then the script for him was written by Tom Wheeler ("Puss in Boots"), and the producer was Mary Parent ("Pacific Rim"). Now the film will be taken under their wing by Bay and his colleagues at the Platinum Dunes: Andrew Form ("Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles") and Bradley Fuller ("Doomsday"). Nicholas Stoller ("The Muppets", "Neighbors. On the Warpath") will be responsible for the text of the future tape. The original animated series, filmed in an interactive format, aired on Nickelodeon from 2000 to 2014. It was about the adventures of a 7-year-old girl named Dasha, together with her little monkey Shoe, who invited young viewers to look for answers to various questions. The details of the full-length version are still unknown, but the source says that in the film Dasha will grow up and move to live in the city with her cousin Diego.  Despite some primitiveness, the original gained immense popularity among viewers and brought the Nickelodeon network good dividends in the form of a successful franchise, which today includes various board and computer games, puzzles and toys.
