Dasha the traveler is ready for new adventures
In the early 2000s, Nickelodeon couldn't get enough of the success of the children's interactive animated series Dasha the Traveler, which marked the beginning of an entire franchise. It aired for eight seasons and even got a spin-off about the adventures of Diego, Dasha's cousin. Later, the television network released the show "Dasha and Friends: Adventures in the City", but until last fall, Hollywood producers had little interest in the girl with a talking card and a backpack, until Paramount Studio, along with Michael Bay's Platinum Dunes, expressed a desire to make a full-length film about Dasha.Only six months have passed, and the major has already found an actress for the main role. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Dasha will be played by Isabela Moner, whose high point was the blockbuster Transformers: The Last Knight. In the new film, Dasha, together with a monkey nicknamed Slipper and her cousin Diego, will go on an adventure. Other plot details have not yet been disclosed. The script is directed by Nicholas Stoller (Neighbors. On the Warpath), and in February the project was directed by James Bobin (The Muppets).  “For me, the big part is to embody the image of Dasha on the screens. I grew up watching an animated series about her, and she can be called a perfect example: she is a strong, courageous and cheerful girl, ”said Moner. Isabela, by the way, voiced one of Dasha's friends in the animated show Dasha and Friends: Adventures in the City, and in a more dramatic role the actress can be seen this summer: in Killer 2 Moner will appear as the daughter of a drug lord.
