Even the most experienced Hollywood actor will envy Godzilla's Star Trek. For more than 60 years of its existence, the giant prehistoric lizard has managed to visit both large and small screens, show off on the covers of its own comics, become a character in games and even get a star on the Walk of Fame. Since 1954, there are so many films about the mutant monster that even the most devoted fan cannot list the names of all.The Japanese call Godzilla "daikaiju", and although it literally means "giant strange beast," the translation for "monster" stuck much better. However, the frightening appearance did not make the lizard hostage to the image: during his long film career, he managed to visit the destroyer of New York, the hero-savior, and even tried in a comedic role. Remembering the former glory of the screen veteran, Michael Dougherty decided to give him another starring role in the film "Godzilla 2", which will be released in 2019.
