Shinji Higuchi, who directed the full-length Attack on Titans, was responsible for the project's special effects. The Japanese moviemakers initially set themselves the task of surpassing the Hollywood ones, at least in terms of the physical parameters of Godzilla. Their monster is ten meters higher than what was shown to the audience in the 2014 movie.
