Last week, we wrote that Warner Bros. has expanded its Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them to five films, set 70 years before the events of Harry Potter. Now the management of the Hollywood film company has decided to shoot a prequel to another famous fairy tale. According to Variety , WB bosses have acquired from the heirs of the writer Roald Dahl the rights to projects based on the stories “ Charlie and the Chocolate Factory "And" Charlie and the Big Glass Elevator "with an eye to creating a new franchise.The first part of the dilogy about the adventures of the young Charlie Bucket and the manufacturer of sweets Willy Wonka has already been transferred to the big screen twice. In the Mel Stewart film, the owner of the chocolate factory was played by Gene Wilder, and in the film by Tim Burton, this image was embodied by Johnny Depp. It is Willy Wonka who will become the main character of the prequel. It is expected that the tape will tell about one of the early and hitherto unknown adventures of the eccentric chocolate mogul. The script for the so far unnamed film will be written by Simon Rich, who gained experience in creating projects for children thanks to the animated films Puzzle and The Secret Life of Pets.  The film will be produced by David Heyman, who has already collaborated with WB on the film series about The Boy Who Lived .
