Taika and the Chocolate Factory
After winning the Oscars 2020, Taika Waititi was in great demand. In the middle of last month, we wrote that the New Zealander will team up with Showtime and Briton Jude Law on a satirical series about the dark side of Hollywood. Today it became known that Waititi is preparing two more interesting television projects. This time, Taika will reveal the secrets of Willy Wonka's chocolate factory.Waititi has struck a deal with Netflix to produce two animated series based on the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory franchise. Rumor has it that the first project is based on the plot and characters of the original fairy tale by Roald Dahl. It is possible that we are waiting for a literal film adaptation of the 1964 book. As for the second animated series, it will tell a previously unknown story about the adventures of factory employees - stunted umpa-loomps. Taika will act as a screenwriter, producer and director of both projects.  At the moment, Waititi is preparing for the release of the sports comedy "The next goal is victorious" and plans to shoot the comic strip "Thor: Love and Thunder".
