Alexey Zharkov died
At the age of 69 after a long illness, Aleksey Zharkov , a Soviet theater and film actor, People's Artist of USA and a holder of the Order of Friendship , died.Born Alexey Dmitrievich in 1948 in Moscow. He began his acting career at a fairly young age, at the age of 14, playing a small role in the film by Mark Donskoy "Hello, Children." After receiving secondary education, Zharkov graduated from the Moscow Art Theater School , was admitted to the Moscow Drama Theater named after M.N. Ermolova , where he almost immediately became one from the leading artists, and in 1988 he moved to the Moscow Art Theater named after A.P. Chekhov . A decisive role in the creative career of Alexey Dmitrievich was played by a meeting with Kira Muratova. After the release of the film "Learning the White Light" the actor began to be recognized. Later, there were films "We were not crowned in church", "Torpedo bombers" and "My friend Ivan Lapshin", which made Zharkov a star.  Alexey Dmitrievich has always adhered to the principle of not giving up roles, because he believed that only in this way the audience can remember the actor. He was proud of even episodic appearances in films and often agreed to star in short films by aspiring directors. Fate brought Zharkov together with many outstanding filmmakers - Eldar Ryazanov, Alexey German, Vadim Abdrashitov. All in all, in the filmography of Alexey Dmitrievich , you can find more than 130 roles in film and television. Many pictures from this list are dearly loved by the audience - "Ten Little Indians", "Prisoner of the If Castle", "Dark Nights in the City of Sochi", "Don't Wake a Sleeping Dog".  Aleksey Dmitrievich continued to work actively even after perestroika, when hard times came for USA cinema. The last notable role of the actor was the image of the head physician in the drama "Ward No. 6", which was released in 2009.
