Americans have chosen their favorite Star Wars heroes
The famous space saga "Star Wars" has always been famous for its bright and interesting characters. It is not without reason that the American Film Institute included Han Solo, Darth Vader and Obi-Wan Kenobi in the list of the “100 best villains and heroes in the history of cinema”.On the eve of the premiere of the blockbuster "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" portal Morning Consult decided to find out which of the many inhabitants of a distant galaxy is the main favorite of the public. 2,200 American moviegoers took part in the survey. Most of the audience's sympathies turned out to be on the side of Princess Leia, played by Carrie Fisher. The poll also helped whitewash Jar Jar Binks' good name. The chatty Gungan has long been considered the franchise's most hated hero, but research by Morning Consult found that 38 percent of viewers like him. According to this indicator, Jar Jar Binks managed to outstrip Jedi Mace Windu, pilot Wedge Antilles, Emperor Palpatine and many other characters in the film series.
