George Lucas did kill Jar Jar Binks
George Lucas did consider killing an unloved Star Wars fan Jar Jar Binks. This is evidenced by the deleted episode of the movie Star Wars: Episode 1 - The Phantom Menace that appeared on the Web. It presents a different version of the arrival of Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan in the capital of Naboo, and also contains a scene of the death of the famous Gungan. Why Lucas eventually abandoned this idea and continued the story of Jar Jar Binks is unknown. Recall that this character appears in all episodes of the new trilogy. According to one version, Jar Jah survived the events of Return of the Jedi.
