Uncharted Adaptation Finds Young Nathan Drake
Apparently, Sony Pictures is looking at the star of its upcoming Spider-Man: Homecoming movie, Tom Holland , with a high degree of optimism. The studio decided to entrust the young actor with the lead role in another major franchise. Holland will be filming an adaptation of the popular Uncharted video game series. The upcoming film will be a prequel to the treasure hunt storyline that Naughty Dog is focused on.The long-suffering project has repeatedly changed its director, but since October last year, this post has been taken by Sean Levy ("Living Steel", "Night at the Museum"). The film was originally supposed to tell about the adventurer and treasure hunter Nathan Drake , who goes in search of treasures in the lost mythical city of El Dorado. However, as it became known, the plot of the picture will be based not on the first, but on the third game of the series.  The story will focus on a young thief Drake and his first meeting with a professional fraudster Victor Sullivan . Tom Rothman's Sony Pictures chapter was inspired to make such changes by watching footage for Spider-Man , sources said. The studio has been trying for years to get the film started with scripts from Joe Carnahan, David Guggenheim and Eric Warren Singer. Now Sony will be looking for a new writer who will write the storyline of a young hero-turned-treasure hunter Nathan Drake , who made the game so popular.  Tom Holland first appeared as Peter Parker in a small scene in Captain America: Civil War blockbuster directed by brothers John and Anthony Russo last year. Now the directors are preparing to shoot the sequels of the adventures of the Avengers team, in which Spider-Man will fully join other superheroes in the fight against the new threat. In the meantime, Holland can be seen in a solo film. The next reboot of the Spider-Man: Homecoming franchise, which for the first time will be directly related to the MCU Marvel , will hit the big screens on July 6th . One of the main characters in the new film will be Iron Man played by Robert Downey Jr., who will act as mentor for the Spider , which is a new storyline in this franchise. In addition, among the upcoming projects of Holland is the painting War of Currents with Benedict Cumberbatch, Michael Shannon and Katherine Waterston about the confrontation between Thomas Edison and George Westinghouse in the struggle for the use of direct and alternating current.
