![]() Gender equality in Hollywood no longer seems like an unattainable goal: if a few decades ago actresses had to put up with the images of the keepers of the home, girlfriends of the protagonists and ladies in trouble, then today they can claim the roles of truly strong and independent women. The publication The Hollywood Reporter decided to determine the favorite TV and movie heroines of Hollywood artists. A survey of over 1,800 actors, producers, directors, and screenwriters gave some interesting results. The top 50 included 16 heroines of films and TV series of the current decade, while the 40s and 80s received only one representative each. ![]() The most striking heroine in the history of cinema and television was recognized as Hermione Granger from the fantasy saga " Harry Potter ". The image of the talented sorceress was embodied by the British Emma Watson , who, for the sake of participating in the film adaptation of the popular book cycle by J.K. Rowling had to go through eight rounds of screen tests. During one of them, the producers asked if Emma was interested in any other role. The young actress replied that she sees herself exclusively in the form of Granger . “I immediately fell in love with this heroine, - later admitted Watson . - Hermione is considered the intelligence, honor, and conscience of Gryffindors for a reason. She managed to become an excellent role model for young spectators. Looking at her, many girls have ceased to be ashamed to demonstrate knowledge, resourcefulness and leadership qualities. I am truly proud of this role. ![]() The top 50 greatest heroines in film and TV history also include: 2. Princess Leia by Carrie Fisher - Star Wars: Episode 4 - A New Hope ![]() 3.
