The story of the tragic death of athletes from the Yaroslavl hockey club "Lokomotiv" will form the basis of the future film entitled "Only Loko!" directed by Vladimir Alenikov ("The Adventures of Petrov and Vasechkin", "Wanderers of Patience"). A team of hockey players from the Yaroslavl club, as well as the crew of the Yak-42 plane, died in a plane crash in the fall of 2011, only one flight engineer managed to survive. The accident was caused by an error of one of the pilots.“Working on the script, studying the materials, talking with the relatives of the players of the famous team - with their parents, wives, brides, - I realized that these were not only outstanding athletes, but also wonderful people. By their human qualities, the guys are amazing! They died on takeoff. They could have become world champions. And it seems that we have found the right key to telling about them through the eyes and memory of those who knew and loved them, ”Alenikov told about the picture. The director wrote the script for the film and will act as one of the producers. The tape will show the last days of the legendary team, their training and relationships within the team and with loved ones. Chronicle footage is also used in the film, where athletes train and communicate with fans. Irina Rozanova (Intergirl), Alexey Guskov (Border. Taiga Romance), Andrei Merzlikin (Boomer) and Kirill Pletnev (Saboteur) have already been approved for the roles in the film. They plan to start filming this month.
