Jonah Hill and WB could not agree

Image Three weeks ago, news leaked online that Jonah Hill was in talks with Warner Bros. about his participation in "Batman" by Matt Reeves. Of the four villainous roles that are rumored to appear in the film, Hill could be offered two - Riddler or Penguin. After the release of that news, it became known that the parties have been trying to reach a consensus for more than a month, and, apparently, even a detailed and reasonable discussion did not save the situation: insiders report that Hill and the studio did not come to an agreement and negotiations were completed.

The official reason for the breakdown of the negotiations is not named, but there is reason to believe that Hill asked for too much money - $ 10 million. That's double Robert Pattinson's fee for the lead role in Reeves' film and the amount that Brie Larson received for the Captain Marvel solo. Some believe that Hill could have thrown out such a number for fun - it is known that recently the actor has been carefully selecting projects, and perhaps in this way he just wanted to troll the major. It is also rumored that the studio offered Jonah the role of Penguin, while he himself wanted to play the Riddler. One way or another, all three theories have a foundation.

Now the studio is looking for new candidates for the role of Batman's enemies. Earlier, the WB leadership saw Seth Rogen in the guise of Penguin, and perhaps the breakdown of negotiations with Hill will push the studio bosses to return to this idea.
