Journey to the Stars
The talented Swedish director Johan Renck has decided on the following project: the freshly baked Emmy award winner will lead work on the adaptation of Jaroslav Kalfar's science fiction novel The Cosmonaut from Bohemia.The book was published in 2017 and received flattering reviews in the press. In the center of her plot was the astrophysicist Jakub Prochazka, who was born in a small Czech village. When the world's leading space agencies refused to investigate the mysterious dust cloud near Venus, the protagonist became the first astronaut in the history of his country and embarked on an eight-month journey towards the unknown ... The adaptation of Kalfar's book will be done by the young American screenwriter Colby Day, who has already managed to prove himself in the world of short films.
