Freddy Krueger will return to nightmares
Four years ago, the world said goodbye to horror master Wes Craven. Since then, the fate of the director's main brainchildren, the Scream and Nightmare on Elm Street, has been in limbo. Earlier this month, the rights to the knife maniac franchise went to studio Spyglass, which began negotiations with the stars of the original quadrology. Now another good news has come from Hollywood: after Gustface, the nightmare lord Freddy Krueger will return to the screens.After Craven's death, it became unclear who owned the basic rights to the franchise. Luckily for movie fans, the problem is finally solved. A Nightmare on Elm Street has passed into the possession of the Wes heirs, who are opening screenplays for a new Kruger film. Several eminent directors are involved in the fight for the project, including Mike Flanagan. Over the past couple of years, Mike has grown into one of the best horror experts out there. Last year, he launched the mystical series Haunting of the Hill House, which became a huge hit on Netflix. The American's track record also includes the "Doctor Sleep" tape, which, although experiencing problems with self-sufficiency, gets good reviews in the press. “I came up with a totally killer idea for a new Freddy movie, Flanagan said. -I can't wait to show the plot sketches to the Wes Craven successors"  Recall that the film series "Nightmare on Elm Street" dates back to 1984.
