All the cult on-screen villains come back to life sooner or later. There is a rumor in Hollywood that Spyglass Media Group is reviving the Scream movie series.The Masked Assassin Ghost began terrorizing Woodsboro residents in 1996. Wes Craven's film, written by Kevin Williamson, became a hit and became the basis for one of the most popular horror franchises in history. Over the past 23 years, "The Scream" has received three direct sequels and a television anthology. As is often the case with horror movies, the situation with the rights to "Scream" looks rather confusing. Last year, we reported that Blumhouse Corporation is ready to buy the franchise, giving the world "Paranormal Activity", "Judgment Night", "Get Out" and many other big screen hits. It seems that Jason Bloom's company was left with nothing, and the rights to the film brand passed to the Spyglass studio.
