Helena Bonham Carter will play the mother of all Holmes
Two-time Oscar nominee Helena Bonham Carter joined Millie Bobby Brown in the Legendary adventure film Enola Holmes. The plot of the project will be based on a series of novels by Nancy Springer, which screenwriter Jack Thorne ("Star Wars: Skywalker. Rising") undertook to adapt for the big screen. The director's chair of the film was taken by Harry Bradbeer, who worked on the popular TV series Killing Eve.The literary source tells the story of the younger sister of Sherlock and Mycroft Holmes, a girl named Enola, who is also a very talented detective. The book series began in 2006 with the novel Enola Holmes and the Marquis in a Mousetrap. The first and fifth novels were nominated for the Edgar Awards in 2007 and 2010, respectively.
