How do you like this, Elon Musk?

Image Looks like Andrew Stanton is finally recovering from the flop of blockbuster "John Carter". The creator of Finding Nemo, WALL-E and Finding Dory is considering a return to the world of feature films.

Stanton claims to be the director of the sci-fi drama Chairman Spaceman, based on the short story of the same name by Thomas Pearce. The piece was published in 2017 in The New Yorker magazine. In the center of the plot is a ruthless corporate raider who decided to rectify the sins of the past and spend a multimillion-dollar fortune to become the first interplanetary missionary.

Film rights to the story belong to Searchlight Pictures and Genre Films. The adaptation of Chairman Spaceman will be handled by Thomas Pearce himself, and the production team will be led by Simon Kinberg (Logan, The Martian).

Stanton has already proved that he can work not only with animated characters, but also with live actors: after the failure of "John Carter" the director shot several episodes of such TV hits as Better Call Saul and Mysterious Events.
