Reese Witherspoon is interested in Sai-Fi
Reese Witherspoon and Simon Kienberg bought out the film rights to the New Yorker science fiction short story Tardy Man. The actress also intends to play one of the main roles in the film called Pyros. The script for the future tape is written by the author of the story, Thomas Pearce. Apparently, he copes with this kind of tasks perfectly: earlier his other work in this genre, Chairman Spaceman, was acquired for film adaptation by Fox Searchlight, which also invited Kinberg to the post of producer.Tardy Man is about a group of technically advanced people who wear fireproof suits that are connected to their spines. They all work for a corporation dedicated to rescuing the wealth of the rich and famous from the fires. At the same time, all costume owners are strictly forbidden to be distracted from the main task, even if there are living people nearby in mortal danger. The starting point for the plot of the film will be the moment when the main character decides to break this rule.  Among Reese's best-known works as an actress are Pleasantville, Between Heaven and Earth, and Walking the Line (for her role in the latter she won an Oscar), and as a producer, this A-class Hollywood star was behind the creation the thriller "Gone Girl" and many other successful films and series. Kinberg is well acquainted with the science fiction genre from his work on The Martian and The Robot Called Chappy.
