Despite mixed reviews in the press, the mystical thriller "Witchcraft" eventually gained cult status, and today the tape is praised for avoiding the cliches inherent in teenage dramas. Not surprisingly, the tenacious paws of the Hollywood remake machine have made their way to Witchcraft. In March of this year, it became known that Blumhouse studio was producing a new version of the film about young witches, and to further interest the audience, the producers invited David Duchovny to one of the roles.The main roles in the upcoming horror went to Kaylee Spani (Nothing Good at the Hotel El Royale), Catch Simon (Repost), Gideon Adlon (There Will Be No Sex !!!) and Zoe Luna. They play schoolgirls who decide to experiment with magical powers. At first, these forces change the lives of girls for the better, but over time, they get out of control. It is not yet clear what role David Duchovny plays in this story. The remake director's chair is given to Zoe Lister Jones, who is best known for her acting work. So far, she has only one directorial project on her account - the dramedy "Band-Aid Group".  As for David Duchovny, in recent years he has become a rare guest on the big screens, giving preference to television projects, and the actor's last film work at the moment is the drama Louder Than Words.
