Nikolai Lebedev will shoot a film about the trial of the Nazis
The director of Legends No. 17, Nikolai Lebedev, is working on a new film, Nuremberg, which will tell about the historic trial of the main Nazi war criminals. A team from different countries participates in the creation of the picture: USA, Germany, France, Austria and Great Britain.According to the producer of Nuremberg Elmira Aynulova, the film will preserve its historical authenticity, since the script is based on documentary works by one of the leading experts on the Nuremberg trials, Alexander Zvyagintsev. Also, when creating the project, little-known historical facts and documents were used, received by historians from direct participants and witnesses of the International Military Tribunal. The Nuremberg Trials are often called the "Court of History" because it was a major milestone in the development of law and society. Ten former leaders of Nazi Germany were executed, others were sentenced to imprisonment. The Nuremberg trials marked the final defeat of fascism. Filming was supposed to begin on March 12 in the Czech Republic, however, due to the danger of the spread of coronavirus, production was suspended indefinitely.
