Rob Letterman will be beyond good and evil
Last year, director Rob Letterman presented his vision of the Pokemon world to viewers. The film “Pokemon. Detective Pikachu "became a hit, thanks to which adaptations of games are no longer considered a failure, the main thing is to find an idea suitable for the full length. Letterman did it, so it's no surprise that Netflix brought in a director to lead another adaptation.This time Letterman will take on the adaptation of the game Beyond Good & Evil ("Beyond Good and Evil"). Ubisoft released it back in 2003. Although the game was not a huge success, critics praised it, and over the years it has its own army of fans. The action of the original takes place in the future, to be more precise - in the XXV century, on a remote planet of miners, which was attacked by aliens. A military dictatorship that promised to protect the population is probably in league with the invaders. Under these circumstances, young photojournalist Jade joins the underground resistance movement to secretly capture evidence of the conspiracy.  It is reported that the new project will combine elements of fiction and animation. Letterman is no stranger to such tasks: he did something similar during the filming of "Gulliver's Travels", "Horror" and "Detective Pikachu", and the filmmaker is familiar with animation thanks to "The Undersea Brothers" and "Monsters Against Aliens.
