Falcon and Winter Soldier recruiting team
The cast of the upcoming Falcon and the Winter Soldier continues to grow, with Desmond Chiam (The Chronicles of Shannara) and Miki Ishikawa (The Terror) joining the lead roles Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan. Disney declined to comment on the news and are keeping the newcomers' roles a secret.The series will be dedicated to the adventures of two faithful companions of Captain America. The Falcon and Winter Soldier characters were introduced to the viewer in the film Captain America: The Other War and have since appeared in subsequent parts of the franchise: Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame. The ending of the last tape, which completed the Third phase of the MCU, also serves as the plot of the series. In 2019, Chiam managed to star in two other television projects: the comedy about a company of losers on the eve of the end of the world "And now is the apocalypse" and the crime drama "Reef Break". Ishikawa, who played Amy Yoshida in the second season of Terror, boasts a role in the feature film Yours, Mine, Ours and the sitcom Zoe 101.  Previously, Daniel Bruhl, Emily VanCamp and Wyatt Russell also gave their consent to shoot in the upcoming series. At the convention in San Diego, the creators of the project, among other things, announced that Bruel would try on the image of Baron Zemo, and at the D23 festival they added that VanCamp would again reincarnate as Sharon Carter (Agent 13). Russell will play the anti-hero John Walker (Super Patriot). Cary Scogland (Vikings, The Handmaid's Tale) has been named director of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
