Kyle Chandler to star in George Clooney's sci-fi
Emmy-winning Kyle Chandler has signed on to star in George Clooney's as-yet-untitled sci-fi film. Felicity Jones will also be involved in the filming. Written by Mark L. Smith (Survivor), the script is based on Lily Brooks-Dalton's 2016 book Good Morning Midnight.Chandler got the role of an American astronaut named Mitchell, whose story develops parallel to the storyline of the protagonist Augustine (Clooney), stuck in the Arctic. Augustine attempts to make contact with the Earth-bound spacecraft Ether. As previously reported, the film will be released on Netflix and will be produced by Clooney with longtime partner Grant Heslov through their company Smokehouse Pictures. Anonymous Content and Syndicate Entertainment will also join the production of the tape. Kyle and George have already worked together on the set of Catch-22, which premiered on Hulu this spring. Chandler's recent films include the blockbuster Godzilla 2: King of the Monsters from Warner Bros., and next year the actor will appear in Godzilla vs. Kong.
