The House of Mouse is no longer going to make a drowned man out of Bardem - on the contrary, the major will hand him the keys to the underwater kingdom. The actor is in talks to get the role of King Triton in the remake of The Little Mermaid.The cast of the film is growing steadily, because only yesterday we reported that musician Harry Styles could play Prince Eric. Holly Bailey will play the title character, while Melissa McCarthy will portray the witch Ursula. According to rumors, in the new version, Ursula will be the sister of Triton and, accordingly, the aunt of the Little Mermaid. Jacob Tremblay and Aquafina were also included in the cast. The director's chair for the project will be given to Rob Marshall (Mary Poppins Returns), and the score will be written by Alan Menken and Lin-Manuel Miranda, the composer of the animated Mermaid. Viewers will see the new Ariel in 2021.  Javier Bardem manages to act in studio blockbusters like James Bond and Pirates of the Caribbean, as well as in independent films.
